What follows is my take and illustration of what you can do with it. First off just a quick note on the attached video review. I'm not really an extreme sports guy - I go mountain biking now and then but that's it - but I love these Action POV cameras for the cool shots they can add to even ordinary video productions. I saw a sequence in the AMC show Breaking Bad where they mounted a camera for a moment on a shovel, and that gave me the idea for this little sequence just to suggest some of the possibilities. But I just completed a thorough test with this camera, and am impressed.The mounting system is extremely flexible, and provides the user with many options. For example, the goggle mount works perfectly with my Dragon Alliance APX Goggles (Jet Stealth) and my Smith Intrigue ski helmet. The goggle mount easily accepts the goggle strap with two slots in the mount's bracket. The mount has tiny "teeth" - almost like Velcro - which grip onto the strap. In addition, there are rubber feet on the corners of the mount which are wider than the goggle strap. These rubber feet stabilize the mount against the helmet, and provide friction so that mount will not slide on the helmet. The wide base of the goggle mount gives it a very stable foundation. After buying it I got to know about some light issues that were confirmed by Drift Innovation staff and a new firmware is scheduled to solve the problem. For my surprise this was not the big thing about the Drift HD. The unit had a hard time to turn on at first. After updating the firmware to the one available, the unit kept doing the same blanc screen, not showing Drift logo at start as it usually does. I thought it was OK, but this was not all. After starting recording, the Drift HD stopped responding to remote control and Play/Stop button on the unit itself. I first thought I could remove the battery and have it running again, but footage got lost, no sign of recorded data for this matter. Color Saturation varies too much, compared to the old Drift I own.
