My complaint is with the Go Pro camera. The camera is fairly difficult to use and support is very limited! The included memory card was faulty, which in my case caused me hours of problems. I didn't have another memory card and the Go Pro didn't provide any hints that the problem was not being able to write to the SD card. It takes 2 days to get a very short, not very informative response from Go Pro. If the first response doesn't help, then it takes another 2 days to get any further response. It can take a whole week to solve a very simple problem. I suggest buying a Go Pro from a bricks and mortar store, which is something I hate doing (extra costs and time wasting commission driven sales staff), alternatively buy a waterproof casing for a camera you already own, which in my case would have been a much better option. The Go Pro video footage is good for a sub $300 camera, very good for a sub $300 waterproof camera, all other features are bellow average... They can be used for SO MUCH MORE! As a profession I happen to make videos, and I can say with great appreciation that this camera is very capable of dynamic shots that you wouldn't expect. If you need something extreme, this should be the standard!The waterproof case has been perfect, and the mounting brackets are all super solid. I've been seeing the GoPro show up in more and more documentaries and films (it's used quite a bit in Jackass 3D), and I can't wait to see what the company comes up with next! |
