It is easy to set up and change between options. I have only used mine a few times so far but I am very happy with the picture, the stability, the audio, the size and how easy it was to put on my helmet. The HD (1080 setting) is wide screen only. The only thing that can be a hic-up is that it only records in the MP4 format which limits the video editing programs that can support it. I went out and purchased a video transfer program. It converts one format to another. There are some very good software programs out there that are under $50. Many give you a trial period too. I plan onusing this unit for many years ahead and take care of it between each use.
